Description:
Chiapas has a rugged geography, full of canyons, rivers and springs; many mountains exceed one thousand meters above sea level.
Between these mountains we can find canyons, deep ditches with vertical walls that have been formed thanks to the erosion of a river.
These rivers cross kilometers underground until they sprout from the walls in different places, one of which is the chorreadero.
Very close to Chiapa de Corzo, the shotgun river breaks through the mountains, gushing from the dark walls of a canyon forming waterfalls and pools where we can bathe.
The chorreadero offers pools, waterfalls and caves to explore just where the underground river ends.
History:
This natural formation has been sculpted by water through millions of years, forming underground rivers, waterfalls and pools for swimming.
