How to get to misol-ha by public transport:
This destination is regularly visited by travelers who arrive in Palenque and start their route from here, since it is more than 5 hours from the capital Tuxtla Gtz.
Others visit this place taking a paid tour from San Cristobal de las Casas, the travel agency goes through them to your hotel at 6:00 am including on the tour other destinations such as Agua Azul waterfalls and the Palenque archaeological site (On the tour do not include tickets to destinations).
Misol-ha is located between the archaeological zone of Palenque and the waterfalls of Agua Azul, therefore it is recommended to make these three destinations as the same route starting in Palenque, followed by Misol-ha and finally Agua Azul.
Palenque to Misol-ha
From the city of Palenque you can take a transport (truck) that circulates through the roundabout “Mayan head”, request the stop when you see a truck with canvas awning that has written on a sign “Ocosingo”, asks the cost to take you to the cruise Misol-ha.
As the truck should continue its journey on the road you will be left on the detour to the waterfall, walk 2km until you reach the ecotourism center and you will be welcome to the Misol-ha waterfall.
How to get to misol-ha by car:
From Tuxtla Gtz. You must drive to Palenque on Federal Highway 199, in a 5-hour journey through San Cristobal de las Casas, then Ocosingo, and on the way to Palenque you will find the detour to reach the waterfall.
