Paleontology Museum, The works of this branch in Chiapas began with Professor Eliseo Palacios Aguilera in 1941, the museum was created in 1994; During the development of paleontology Miguel Álvarez del Toro also participated, however the museum was inaugurated in 2002.

Drive on the avenue “Quinta norte oriente” in the direction of the paleontology museum, located between the Causeway of illustrious men and the old Madero Park, near the “Ninth North East” street. This museum has rooms in which the prehistoric fauna and flora of Chiapas can be appreciated with reconstructed skeletons, evidence of primitive life and dinosaurs.
During the summer they take courses for children, optional guided tours, photographic and bibliographic archive
