How to get to Tzabná caves by public transport:
From the zocalo or large square where the cathedral of Mérida is 7 blocks away is the NORESTE terminal where you can take a bus to Tecoh ($ 30 approximate).
The caves are located at the southern exit of the town, you can walk or take a taxi (motorized tricycle) to get there ($ 15 approx).
How to get to grottos Tzabná by car:
It is located 38 kilometers from Yucatan, the approximate route 50 minutes.
From any part of the city, drive east on Calle 59 and then leave the city on federal highway 180 in the direction of Valladolid.
At the first detour to Chetumal turn right to get to Tecoh.

Meaning of the name:
Possibly Tzabnáh originally means “house of viper rattles”, taking the words of the Mayan language Tsáab = rattle of adder and Nah = house.
Description:
Small system of caverns, under the ground is the water level at 17 meters where you can observe cenotes (water wells), the route lasts between 1 and 2 hours.
