Campeche is located in the south, this area link the peninsula with the rest of Mexico, has borders with the states of Tabasco, Yucatan and Quintana Roo. From another perspective Campeche is the entrance to the peninsula since you must drive on the roads of this state to reach Yucatan and Quintana Roo. It shares a large border in the south with the northern part of Guatemala, in this border area exist a large amount of jungle where the heritage of the Mayan civilization lives as in the rest of the peninsula.
